Bromsgrove connection to the Mini

It is little known that the designer of the original Mini Sir Alec Issigonis  was a railway enthusiast. He had an extensive 7mm scale model railway in in his Edgbaston home.  It is also known that Sir Alec Issigonis did at least once ride on the footplate of 58100 "Big Berta " from Bromsgrove to Blackwell whilst the locomotive banked a train up the Lickey Incline.
