During January 2010 two Plaxton bodied Volvo B12R
coaches were transferred to First Midland Red from First
Coaches at Bristol for use on School contracts for
Hydesville School in Walsall in the West Midlands. The
vehicles have formally been used on National Express
contracts. Both vehicles are in all over white livery
following the removal of the National Express branding.
When two Scania coaches arrived at Kidderminster in
March 2010 the Volvo vehicles were moved to Worcester.

20611/2 LK07CDE/F

July 2007 three vehicles (20611-3) were delivered to the
FirstGroup subsidiary First Beeline for use on a rail
air coach link from Reading rail station to Heathrow
Airport. The vehicles were painted in several special
liveries for the service including a special two-tone
blue livery and were branded for the service which
operated every 20 minutes. During early 2019 First
replaced the coaches on the rail air service including
these three with nine brand new Scania Irizar i6
Coaches. 20611 was first to arrive at Worcester in
January 2019 still in its Rail Air livery. The vehicle
was to be repainted before entering service but instead
was pressed into service on a rail replacement contract
and was not painted until June 2019. The second vehicle
20612 arrived in May 2019 again still in the Rail Air
livery and it took until September 2019 when it was
finally repainted. Both vehicles entered proper service
at Worcester with the return of the Schools in September
2019. 20613 did not join the Worcester fleet and instead
moved to Scotland where it is in the First Aberdeen
fleet and has since been re-registered W7FAL.
