Wrights streetlite

Back in 2013 First Group ordered 179 new StreetLites (mostly the 11.5m Max variant with some 10.8m models ordered) to work alongside the four prototype vehicles already at the company. These were delivered between summer and winter 2013. In January 2014 saw First order a further 301 StreetLites, with 274 of them featuring 'Micro Hybrid' technology. Starting October 2022 six Wrights Streetlites with the fleet numbers. 47442 and 47446 were new to the Bristol and Somerset business unit and were allocated to a number of depots in the area until 47446 was transferred to Worcester in March 2023 and 47442 in August 2023 to replace older vehicles at the Worcester depot. Over the weekend of the 16th and 17th September 2023 Worcester garage double deckers 36241 and 36242 were exchanged for Streetlites 47415 and 47416 from First's Western  super Mare depot. 47440 was transferred from First Bristol  on 12th December 2023 followed by 47438 also from First Bristol on the 4th January 2024. Both vehicles arrived with a dark green front and branded for the Bristol city service 8 to Temple Meads Station.

47466-71

47466 to 47471 were moved to Worcester depot from the Sheffield Olive Grove depot. The vehicles were new in April 2014 and were part of a batch of 16 vehicles with the fleet numbers 47466 to 47481  that were new to the First Manchester fleet.44766 to 47471 had moved to Sheffield in 2019 together with sister vehicles 47472/3 to Shefield.  As Sheffield moves to introduce a clean air zone for the City Centre and a requirement in terms of vehicle emissions for Euro VI these Euro V standard vehicles needed to move to other depots. On Monday 4th March 2024 47470 was moved to First Cymru and exchanged for Enviro E30D 67431. Latter the same week on |Friday 8th March a similar exchange was done between vehicles 47469 and 67438.

47474-81 

During October 2023 47474 to 47781 started to move to Worcester from First York where the garage is being converted to all electric power with new vehicles  The vehicles were new in April 2014 and were part of a batch of 16 vehicles with the fleet numbers 47466 to 47481  that were new to the First Manchester fleet. Much of the batch had moved to York in 2019 . A number of the vehicles arrived at Worcester and did not go into service straight away. 47474 arrived at Worcester in all over white livery but the skirt purple stripe that is on a standard First Olympia livery was added before entry to service. This differentiated the vehicle from the similar white based liveried vehicles in the Astons fleet.

47513-20

Eight of the ones without the micro hybrid technology were delivered during September 2014 to Worcester Garage. There allowed a number of Worcester based vehicles to be cascaded to Hereford Garage to allow older vehicles based there to be withdrawn. The delivery of 47520 was delayed because it was to be exhibited at the Bus and Coach show at the NEC in early November 2014. However the vehicle that was to be 47520 was diverted to First Potteries and a prototype vehicle has taken its place. Wrights had developed a light weight version of the Streetlite and First were keen to evaluate it alongside standard vehicles so it was delivered to Worcester on 29th October 2014. The vehicle finally entered service on 3rd November 2014.  With the introduction of new vehicles to Worcester 47519 and 47520 were withdrawn and transferred to First Potteries during March 2019. In May 2022 47518 was repainted into a special version of the corporate livery to mark the Queen's 70th anniversary jubilee.

47609/10/1/31/40/2  

On 19th February 2024 a further Streetlite was transferred to Worcester from Leeds operation in the shape of 47631 and this directly replace 66691 which was withdrawn as a result. As a result of winning a number of bus contracts in Worcester and to the west of Worcester from Astons Coaches from Tuesday 7thnMay 2024 3 additional Streetlites in the form of 47609-11 were added to the fleet. These vehicles had been drafted into Manchester as temporary vehicles for the Beeline contracts First had won prior to new vehicles arriving. As result the 3 vehicles had been painted in the Beeline Yellow livery but had not had the internal refurbishment. Within days the 3 vehicles were repainted in the latest standard First group livery. Of the 3 47610 did briefly operate on service 35 in the Yellow livery before going for a repaint.

63346-8,56-66  

On Friday 29th May 2015, FirstGroup announced their 2015/6 group vehicle order for 385 new buses at a cost of £77.7m. This order included 183 Wrightbus StreetLite single-deck buses, all to be built with Euro VI engines. The Midlands business unit were allocated 22 of the vehicles 13 for Worcester and 9 for Leicester. Before the vehicles were delivered it was decided to exchange four of the Worcester single deck vehicles with four of the new double deck vehicles allocated to Leicester so Worcester would vehicles 63345–63353, and First Leicester being have 63354–63366. However during the construction there was some confusion over which vehicles were for Worcester and which were for Leicester. This meant as vehicles started to arrive from 5th December Wrights were registering the for vehicles for the following companies First Midland Red to have 63356–63362 and First Leicester to have 63345–63355 and 63363–63366. Following a review locally First decided to allocate the vehicles as follows 63345–63357 with First Leicester and 63358–63366 with First Midland Red. However as vehicles had started arriving at both Worcester and Leicester it was decided to put some vehicles into service in Worcester that would eventually be Leicester vehicles. The pressing issue being that the Enviro 300’s 67601-4 and 67631-41 needed to be transferred to First Potteries Limited in Stoke on Trent to allow non DDA compliant vehicles to be withdrawn before 1st January 2016. The first vehicle, fleet number 63356 (SM65LNO) was delivered to Worcester depot on Saturday 5th December 2015, in the new “Urban 2” livery, By Friday 11th December 2015 Worcester Depot had nine vehicles These were fleet numbers 63346–63348 which were registered First Leicester, and 63356–63361 which were registered to First Midland Red Buses Limited. On Friday 11th December 2015 63358-63360 were branded up as Worcester vehicle. Meanwhile, fleet numbers 63356 and 63357 entered service on Malvern routes without fleet names or markings. Later on that day fleet numbers 63360 and 63361 also entered service, followed by 63348, 63358 and 63359 on the next day.
